MEDICAL COMMUNITY
Richland Hospital
We are a community hospital located in Richland Center, WI. Here, we have more than 300 people on our team ready to help you all day, every day. As a Critical Access hospital, we have a long history of supporting good health in Southwest Wisconsin. Our mission is: The Richland Hospital is dedicated to caring, educating, and healing – to be the community’s First Choice for Better Health.
RICHLAND CENTER, WISCONSIN—Richland Hospital is proud to announce the purchase of the Pristina Dueta,™ a 3D mammography machine. Designed with the comfort of the patient in mind, its rounded corners, thinner image detector, and arm rests add up to improved patient comfort. Not only does it take more images with additional angles, but the accuracy and clarity of those images allow doctors to get a better look at the breast tissue and surrounding areas. Where patients are concerned, the best part is the remote control that allows them to adjust the pressure exerted on the breasts. This results in a more relaxed patient, which leads to better images, which leads to earlier detection of breast cancer or other anomalies.
Most women are aware that early detection of cancer can reduce fatalities, yet, due to anxiety, 1 in 4 will delay, or simply not schedule their annual mammogram. Of those surveyed who experienced the Pristina Dueta™ 3D Mammogram, 93% said they were less anxious with the patient-assist compression.
Richland Hospital’s quest has always been to keep up with technology and give their patients the best possible care. The purchase of the new Pristina Dueta™ 3D Mammogram is a giant leap in fulfilling that commitment to our patients. Our thanks go out to the Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination (G.R.A.C.E.) organization, who contributed $78,000 for this $300,000-plus project.
The take-away? This machine will help save lives.
