Preventative Cancer Education Skin Cancer Screening Project
Results from 10/6/2012 thru 12/7/2019
This is offered totally free of charge to those interested. Screenings are 100% paid for by G.R.A.C.E. Preventative Cancer Education Funds.
To date 313 patients have been screened by Dr. Webster of Gunderson Health Care in LaCrosse. Of those tested 86 were found to have precancerous conditions, 3 were referred on for biopsies of suspicious moles; 1 Squamous Cell Carcinoma was found and 4 needed follow up. One embedded deer tick was also found.
We thank Dr. Webster for his continued service to this very important project.
G.R.A.C.E. Makes Preventative Donations to Aquatic Center
A portion of funds raised each year goes toward educating people on how to make good decisions as it relates to preventing cancer. For example – Skin Cancer caused by prolonged exposure to the sun. Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination purchased Sunbrellas for Richland Center’s new Aquatic Center and is also providing free sunscreen.
